  • Mission Statement

Santa's Children Christmas Village is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children in crisis to aid in their recovery, especially those with a life-threatening illness or a chronic medical condition, and those in distress because of acute poverty or homelessness.  Santa visits homes, hospitals, emergency care facilities, and Santa's Village to bring gifts and encouragement to children.  Santa's Children Christmas Village works with fire departments and with other charitable organizations with similar missions to provide gifts, clothing, and wholesome activities for children in crisis, along with their families and caregivers.

    Santa's Children Christmas Village

Santa's Children Christmas Village has two objectives.

    • The first is to work with other charity organizations locally, regionally, and nationally, whose missions are to aid or assist children in crisis as well as seriously or terminally ill children throughout the progressive stages of their lives or illnesses.

    • The second objective is to allow these children and their families to have a day away from reality either through visits from Santa at their homes (or other places of care) throughout the year or by visiting Santa at Santa's Children Christmas Village.

Santa's Children Christmas Village is dedicated to supporting children in crisis. We are a tax exempt 501(3)(c) charity designed to support families with special attention to children with serious and terminal illnesses.

Santa's Children Christmas Village has been helping Children in Crisis since 1998.    As Santa's Children Christmas Village makes its new home in Macedonia, Iowa in 2005, we ask for your help in making the old Macedonia School a Special Place for Special Kids.

The summer camps, which begin June 2 and run through August 30, will be held at Santa’s Village and at a camp site near Macedonia. Additional camps will be held in the fall and winter months at Santa’s Village. The costs of the Day Camps will be covered through grants and donations to Santa’s Children and a $25 camper fee per Day Camp, which includes a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. A $25 gift certificate will be given to each camper to go shopping for new clothing, books and a toy at Santa’s Village. Anyone wishing to help send a child to camp who otherwise cannot afford it, may send donations to Santa’s Children, 25 Christmas Lane, Box 220, Macedonia, IA 51549.

Children from across Iowa and Nebraska are invited to participate in one or more of the camps, offering activities such as sports and games, fishing and boating, puppetry, art, dance, and cooking. All children are welcome to attend the camps, with priority given to children with serious and life-threatening illnesses and children in stressful or crisis situations.

If you would like to register a child for the camps but are unable to attend the registration and pancake breakfast/picnic lunch, or would like additional information, please call Santa’s Village at (712) 486-2599 or e-mail Santa's Children.

Helping KIDS of Flood and Storm Disasters
Through its local KIDS Program, Santa’s Children Christmas Village (SCCV) of Macedonia, Iowa, has on hand an ample supply of new children’s clothing, toys and books to be distributed free of charge to those who have been devastated by the recent floods and storms in Iowa and Nebraska. SCCV is looking to distribute items as soon as possible in communities affected by the disasters. As a recipient organization, SCCV receives $100 worth of merchandise for every $10 donated to Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S., Inc.), which secures donations from major manufacturers of children’s clothing, toys and books to be distributed to those in need.

To complete distribution of the merchandise to those affected by the floods and storms, SCCV is seeking to partner with individuals and organizations, such as faith groups (churches, synagogues, etc.), businesses, school organizations, social service agencies, local fire departments, or groups of individuals who want to help. Assistance is needed to help fund distribution costs as well as volunteers to help in the process of inventorying and packaging new clothing, toys and books. Distribution to families in need will be handled through local Fire Departments in the communities affected by the floods and storms. Donations of any amount to help cover distribution costs are welcome and can be mailed to Santa’s Children, Box 220, Macedonia, IA, 51549.

If you are willing to help in this endeavor by donating or volunteering, contact Santa’s Village at (712) 486-2599, (402) 657-6034, or santa@santaschildren.org.
